Why are the tulips crying? (parts 1, 2 and 3)

Have you seen how sad the tulips are?  See them through the morning haze?
Transparent tulips burst with tears. Accord the day abundant praise.
With dew on satin petals pure. Sparkling droplets tremble, stall.
Floral bouquet dawn anew whilst tough to hold on. Not to fall.

I asked the flowers, “Why the sadness?” “Why with beauty so adored?”
“Why with all the world to show for?” “This is not enough reward?”
In the cool the flowers silence. For no answer coming forth.
Vowing never to re-question. Never ask the blooms thenceforth.

Have you seen how sad the tulips are?  Standing proud. So cavalier.
Tulips cut and tied in bunches. Sadness reason all too clear.
Taken from their earthen homeland. Mother’s nurture taken all.
Floral bouquet starved of passion. Forced to hold on. Not to fall.
